The Beckwith family papers (1988-01-0) consist of correspondence, financial records, legal documents, military records, diaries, photographs, and other records. A small group of papers predates those of the Beckwith family. At present, only materials created prior to 1840, a limited selection of post-1840 materials, and those that relate to Josiah Beckwith (1803-1871) have been processed. Scope and Contents
The papers of Elihu Harrison (1797-1855) consist primarily of his business papers including bills, accounts, receipts, and orders. Elihu Harrison was a storekeeper and business man in Litchfield, first in the South Farms section (now the town of Morris) and later, about 1825, in the center of Litchfield.
